Welcome to Compensate. Compensate is a simple money management app with an important twist. Most money management apps track your finances after you pay your bills. Compensate helps you plan your finances before you've paid them. In other words, it helps you Compensate when faced with a seemingly insurmountable pile of bills. It's neither pretty, nor feature rich but it works, and it's free, and geeks are strongly encouraged to improve it. Normal People: Feel free to use Compensate here but please be warned that there is no encryption on this site. However, Compensate never asks you for identifying information so the worst a hacker could find out is how broke 'happyUser426' (or any username) is and who they owe money to. Geeks: If you know how to install a Ruby on Rails app you can check out the source here using Darcs and install it locally. Compensate is distributed under the MIT licence and I'll incorporate essentially any feature you submit to masukomi@masukomi.org via darcs send. Multi-Lingual people: Compensate is ready and waiting for your translations. If you're not a geek drop me an e-mail at masukomi@masukomi.org and I'll send you the language file and instructions.
